Kaedes - Abandoned By the Sea

Kaedes won and is now the mate of ~Candrence 's beautiful mare! We made it boy *hands him over to do his duties*

My Second Entry for ~Candrence 's contest, for her other mare 'Candrence'.

I put quite a bt of work into this guy, have had a few hours spare today so I used them wisely

Horse - Shaded and colored in Elements 7.0
Sky - One color basic, clouds made with help from [link] burn & dodge
Sea & Waves - Patheticly simply colored with 4 lines help from [link] for the surface effect & amazing [link] for the waves
Rock - Stumbled over this [link] a while ago, its awsome! I didn't follow it with gradient shading etc but it was inspiring to do it my way!
Lightning - Credit to =anodyne-stock for awsome brush didn't dare to do my own

Breed: Aguandí / Spanish Mustang
Age: 5
Color: Aquatic bay with tendency for dapple also flaxen breaking through in mane and tail
Sire: Nameless wild mustang, who carries the silver dapple gene which has diluted his mane and tail to flaxen.
Dam: Flor, 'flor del océano', is of the rare breed aguandí a nearly exctint horsecreature from the sea which was used to hunt whales and seamonsters during the ages of mythology.
Personality: Bound and tortured by his mind, as he cannot join his family under water due to his equine genes.
Though, very loving and longs for a family on his own, but has been too obsessed with the wild ocean to set out and find his own destiny.
Strong but still young and unexperienced.
Special characteristics: While being excited or on a adrenaline rush, his body slowly is covered by dapples, they fade however due to the texture of his mothers skin which has mixed with his fathers to create his own.

Short history:
His mother and father shared a forbidden love, divided by the land and the sea, but most of all by her family who do not care much for land creatures.
Their romans was only short, yet strong enough to create a new life. Against all odds, against all the voices, Kaedes was born.
His mother loved him very much but had no choice but to leave him at shore, his father had left long ago, he couldn't stand the pain not being able to share his life with his loved one.
So there he was, an odd creature made for nor the ocean or the land. He promised himself never to leave the sand, always look out for his beautiful mother, always fight the waves which rolled in from the untamed horizon.

Information for future breeding.
Slim yet strong legs, with a short and powerful low framed body.
Silky mane and tail, longer ears than normal for better hearing.
Colored like a female aguandí, which is for camouflage in the deep sea, shades of blue green and purple, a male aguandí would of had brighter colors for domination and territorial reasons.

Think that's about it! Yes I made up a breed had to cause of his colors and then I had this story in my head etc etc!
